It’s hard to believe now that Sam is 1, we are starting to go for round two on the holidays and round two on some of the blog posts. To jog your memory, here is how Sam celebrated his first Halloween.
This year, we were able to do a little bit more. A week or so before Halloween we went to a pumpkin patch with Evie and Deirdre and took some adorable photos.
Then on the Friday before Halloween we watched the parade that went through our neighborhood that was put on by our local elementary school. It was led by the high school marching band, which was fascinating to Sam.
And he also loved seeing the kids walking by in their Halloween costumes.
We again went to the MOMS club Halloween party. This year Sam was a much more active participant.
Then on Saturday and Sunday, we were in Charlottesville (Ben was there working on a campaign). Sam and I toured the UVA campus, which was beautiful as always.
Sunday night we made it back in time to go to Matt and Rachel’s house to pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters. Sam had a great time!
He looks like he’s thinking, “I wish that band would play more Thriller and less just drumming.” I agree, Sam!
He’s mesmerized by the band, but mom clearly still trumps 🙂 Love the turtle suit, too! Give him a hug & kiss from us.
I thought he was thinking: “Wow, the NEXT challenge is to walk and make lots of noise at the same time. No, wait, I can already do that!” Love the Spurs hoodie! And the two little pumpkins in the pumpkin patch.
