Sam is not quite ready for crayons. He has shown a little more interest in them, and has tried to copy me when I scribble, but he doesn’t seem to exert enough pressure for the crayons to actually make a mark. He usually gets fed up within 30 seconds and tries to eat the crayons or throw them to the floor.
But he IS ready for stickers. My grandparents sent him a fun Valentine’s Day card that came with ocean-themed stickers. He found it a little frustrating at first because he couldn’t figure out how to get the stickers off of his fingers. But after a little hard work. He really got into it.
I’ve actually read that Da Vinci and Picasso started their careers with stickers.
