Last weekend we had some beautiful weather here. It had been in the high 40’s/ low 50’s and overcast all week, but the weekend was predicted to be sunny and high 70’s. I was determined to make the most of what might be the last weekend of nice weather around here until spring, so I sent an email out to my neighborhood MOMS club and asked for ideas for outdoor activities. Several people recommended Barrel Oak Winery, which is about an hour outside of DC and is known for being pet and child friendly. We decided to pack a picnic lunch and invite our friends John, Deirdre, and Evie to join us. The winery was beautiful and we all had a great time. The wine was pretty good too! If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking it out!
