We had a little party for Campbell’s first birthday. As we were trying to think of a party theme, we just kept coming back to how much we loved Sam’s first birthday fiesta. So we decided to have a fiesta for Campbell, too! Unfortunately, because the weather is soooo cold this time of year, the party had to be completely indoors, which meant we had to scale the guest list way down. We just invited a few of Campbell’s little pals and their families.
Of course, just because the guest list was small, doesn’t mean I didn’t go way overboard on the decorations! I do have fun with little party projects. Or rather, I have fun planning the projects and then get stressed out trying to finish them all at the last minute!
All in all I would say the party was a huge success! Everyone seemed to have fun, especially the birthday girl! We got a great video of her waiting impatiently for everyone to finish singing “Happy Birthday” so she could eat her cupcake.
And here are more pics from the fun day!

I can attest to the success of the party — and to what a big helper Sam was! Be sure to watch the “happy birthday to you” video twice so you can see the expressions on both kids’ faces. Especially Sam when he’s not happy with how close the lit candle is to his sister.
I KNOW Judi. I loved the authoritative way Sam pushed the lit candle away from her! lot’s of cute expressions, including Campbell’s growing disaffection with the cupcake being continually pulled out of her reach!!
So sad to have missed this awesome party!! Is it weird to want the exact same party for myself…? Including Campbell’s dress? 🙂
